Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico, also known as the Pearl of the Pacific, is located on the West coast of Mexico at approximately the same latitude as Hawaii. The weather in Mazatlán is temperate and comfortable most of the year. During the Summer months, the heat and humidity can be thwarted by either taking a nice mid-day siesta or finding a spot on the beach and enjoying the breeze. Shrimp capital of the world, Mazatlán has a variety of excellent food offerings. Seafood is the mainstay, but pizza, tortas, and even spaghetti can be found! One of the largest markets, el Mercado Pino Suarez, offers everything a local or tourist could desire.
A ‘Mazatleco’ is someone who lives in or around Mazatlan. We take it a little further and say that anyone enamored with Mazatlan is a Mazatleco. If Mazatlán is always in your thoughts, and you plan your life around your trips back to Mazatlan – then you are a Mazatleco.
